Seventh Generation Healthy Baby Home Party

DISCLOSURE: As a member of the Generation Good Community, I received free products in order to throw a Healthy Baby Home Party. All opinions are my own.

I know several people who either just had a new baby or will be giving birth to a baby pretty soon! So, I was pretty excited to get the chance to host a Seventh Generation Healthy Baby Home Party and share with them ways they can prepare their homes for their new arrivals.

Hosts were sent a generous kit that included samples from Seventh Generation, Zarbees, coupons and special offers, as well as full size items from Seventh Generation, Bobble and Green Toys to give away!

The party kit included a fun game of Healthy Home Bingo! Each clue included tips on how to keep your home healthy. Examples include:
  • Use a stainless steel water bottle, or a self-filtering water bottle system, like bobble's, to keep you and your baby hydrated on the go.
  • Never heat plastic in the microwave or reuse plastics that have been left in warm areas. Most plastics have been shown to leach chemicals into food, and heat promotes it.
  • Purchase toys made from natural materials, like solid woods with non-toxic finishes and natural textiles like organic cotton or wool. The familiar "new smell" that plastic toys often emit can be a sign that toxic softeners or finishes were used to make the product.

Some tips had questions we could ask the guests playing so we could discuss things further. The soon-to-be parents found this really informative!

Guests who didn't win didn't leave empty-handed. I put together a fun goody bag for each guest to take home that included samples, coupons and info about the sponsoring brands.

Overall, it was a great party! I can't wait to see the new babies and hope the soon-to-be parents learned something new!

Thanks to Seventh Generation, Zarbees, Green Toys and Bobble for the chance to throw this party!
