Lancome Paris DreamTone Customized Skin Tone Correcting Serum Review

Thursday, November 21, 2013

DISCLOSURE:  I received a free bottle of Lancome DreamTone from SheSpeaks to facilitate this review.  My opinions are my own.

As I've gotten older, I've started paying more attention to my skin.  I've started to notice the the little lines, skin imperfections, uneven skin tone and dark spots.  I've started to have a regular skincare routine that I do twice a day.  A part of that routine includes a dark spot corrector.

Even though I'm in my 30s, I still get blemishes every now and then.  They take forever to go away and eventually leave a dark spot on my skin.  I've tried a couple dark spot correctors, but haven't noticed much of a difference in my skin.

I recently had the opportunity to try Lancome DreamTone, a customized skin tone correcting serum.  It visibly corrects dark spots, uneven skin tone, and color imperfections, like sallowness, redness and acne/blemish marks.  It immediately gives you glowing skin and within a week, 70% of women who've tried it noticed a more even skin tone.  After four weeks use, the appearance of dark spots were reduced and after 8 weeks, 78% of women saw a reduction in color imperfections.
Lancome DreamTone is available in 3 barely-tinted serums: 1 - for fair skin, 2 - for medium skin tones, and 3 - for dark skin tones.  I received #2 to try.

It comes in a pretty bottle.  To open, you twist the top.

It's supposed to be applied twice a day, in the morning and evening, under your moisturizer.  It smells great and a little goes a long way.  This is how much I usually use, about two pumps:

Before I started using DreamTone, I took a picture of myself without any makeup on:

And here's my after shot after using Lancome DreamTone for a little over three weeks:

I did notice that my skin was more glowing.  The dark spots that I had from old blemishes were not as dark or prominent.  Overall, I did notice an improvement in my skin and I'm sure with continued use, it would look even better.

Lancome is so confident that you will see an improvement in your skin that they dare you to bare your skin without any makeup.  With their Project #bareselfie, they urge you to post a photo of your face naturally with no filters, on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram.

Would you recommend it?
Yes!  After only three weeks of use, I've definitely noticed an improvement in my overall skin tone and love the glow that I get after using it!

How much does it cost?
A 1.3 fl oz bottle retails for $98.

Where can I buy it?
It’s available at department stores nationwide & on the Lancome website here:
